Left Story at the end of 2008 journey (part6) : Have fun go mad...

No words to say than Thanks God for letting us together enjoying the fascinating holiday at the end of 2008. Hope we are able to go again on next trip, the enjoyable trip, and the most important is we will be friend forever.

Remember this girls : the lost slipper, white beautiful leg (ehm...), throwing away friend ‘who cannot swim’ to ocean, black and blue eye, throwing away sand to each friend bodies, a bunch of dragonfly flying in the morning above the beach, a dancing little girl on new year eve, an hour ice cream made, bamboo curtain in the back of glass rolling door, handsome "bule"…

Left Story at the end of 2008 journey (part5) : Go green! Green Canyon!

28 km from Pangandaran, we were impressed by green water on the river. No wonder, its place was famous as green canyon. In dry season, water can be green, but in rainy days it could become brown. But we were lucky, still green! We were wondering why it was green? Was it because of group of moss behind of the river? It was absolutely not. It was because of the depth. 28 metres. Unimaginable!!! How depth it was.

Green Canyon had real name Land River (local: Cukang Taneuh or jembatan tanah) was a giant tunnel for about 100 with sharp steeply slooping riverbank and attached by stalagnit and stalagtit hanging like spears. Before entering the tunnel, touring by small boat, Rp 75,000/hired, walked along the river accompanied by big trees on hill, mostly are pandan trees.

Left Story at the end of 2008 journey (part4): Rock Shark attacked!

Went through the straight asphalt road, right side was a beach and left side was plantation group accompanied by rice fields. Imagine! The contrary nature. Beach versus rice field.

Batu Hiu Beach (The Shark Coral Reef Beach) was 12 km west of Pangandaran. You could see a small bizarre rock right on the coast like shark. Then you were able to to relax, rest, laugh, take a picture, make a small walk, sit, sleep on the grass ground as the huge rock was a hilltop covered with smooth grass, had prop-rooted pandanus palms, pandan wong trees and provided a fine vista over the whole bay. Big waves always run back and forth below the hill, waves of big ocean. Thanks God for your creation. It was very beautiful place eventhough tsunami ever attacked this place.

Local legend whispered in my ear that local people like to come and visit, especially who wants to be a famous tradisional singer (sinden) or famous traditional music player (penabuh gamelan). I was not clear where is the connection on it, as I was so impressed of the lovely natural feature of this beach.

Left story at the end of 2008 journey (part3): Spider web at Java Cove Beach Hotel

Spent 2 nights at Java Cove Beach Hotel.Unique hotels. Ethnic athmosphere surrounded the hotel. Wood carving and stone were some of elements there.
Located in the relaxed coastal village of Batu Karas on the South coast of West Java, 30 km from Pangandaran. Paying for about 500thousand on peak season, clean and hommy room, could see beach clearly, it was worth it!

Took a look what they said on their web...JavaCove Beach Hotel is nestled along the shore of a tree-lined beach bordered by jungle covered headlands. Explore national parks teeming with jungle life; cruise in canoes through emerald green river gorges; surf fun warm water waves; swim in crystal clear waterfalls; discover colourful beachside restaurants serving up fresh local cuisine; take in a shadow puppet show in a quaint village setting. Or you might prefer to just kick back in a hammock strung between palm trees...
Herewith their web for your reference.www.javacovebeachhotel.com

Check this out,
one of their breakfast menu was indomie soto, taste was ok and they decorated it to make us feel hungry very much.
After playing dirty at beach you could clean your body by water in a clay basin of the garden before coming into your room.
Electricity was instable there. You might find your room lamp were going to be quite dark, dark, then suddenly very bright then down to blur...back and forth!
Big spider web were staying cool in the middle of trees at the garden. The owner said that spider was God creation, he could not destroy it. Waow!

Left story at the end of 2008 journey (part2): We are coming...Batu Karas!

Went to Batu Karas in Cijulang, an hour from Pangandaran, after green canyon site. It was such a lovely beach.

Come to relax, jog on the dark brown beach sand, swim at the shallow ocean, surf upon the waves, play banana boat, ship, eat sea food, laugh with friend… . All the spoils of the good life are close enough to make your decision easy.

This small fishing village 32km from Pangandaran is one of the most relaxed places to kick back in Java and has one of the coast’s best surf beaches, sheltered by a rocky headland.

Left story at the end of 2008 journey (part1) : Pringsewu 71km

5 hours from Bandung to Pangandaran, through Nagreg, Garut, Ciamis, Banjar then Pangandaran. It was a tired journey but full of laughter, impression, seriousness and sadness. Laughter of funny talking, joking and screaming, girls talked, gossip, you know! The part of seriousness happened when we shared our opinion about parents, lovers, politic. Then the part of sadness came up when one of our friend who was not in good condition, headache and puke for her body weakness. Don't miss the good part of impression of beautiful scenery, sunrise (imagine we started to go by car on 3.30 early morning) then from Garut to Ciamis we passed curving road, hill, mountain then sun rose behind the mountain. Arrived Banjar, we got confused when we reached the three way intersection. Went straight or turned right? Fortunately, we found kind handsome policeman help us… Turned right ladies otherwise you would like to go to Cilacap…

There was something interested in us. Pringsewu yellow small billboard. We stuck our mind on it as we always saw it every single metre of left side way. It provided some words that made us feel odd. What was it? Some billboard showed food menu of Pringsewu like roasted fish - gurami (gurami bakar), fried rice (nasi goreng), sweet tea (teh manis), some showed warning: watch out of fly (awas lalat), eat clean and healty food (makanlah makanan yang bersih), some showed the kilometers of the Pringsewu. Well, Pringsewu was a garden restaurant in Cilacap. I thought they were excellent in advertising their restaurant. When we arrived Banjar city, it was still one hour to reach it. We chased time to go Pangandaran and keen to arrive soon. Sorry, maybe next time!
